Can you take a friend with National Trust membership?
Individual life and individual senior life members may bring a guest for free at our pay-to-enter places. If your new membership card says ‘+ guest’ after your name, you are eligible.
Can you share National Trust membership?
If you share an email address and have a joint or family membership, another person on this membership may have previously registered for a My National Trust account. In this case you’ll need to use a different email address to register.
How much is National Trust Scotland membership for over 60’s?
If you’re 60 or over and you’ve held an individual or joint membership for at least five of the last ten years, you’ll be eligible for the reduced fee. You’ll pay £57.60 for an individual senior membership and if you hold a joint senior membership it’s £95.40.

A gift membership can be a gift of discovery, a gift of knowledge, a gift of opportunity. It gives people the chance to indulge for however long & often they choose – or the chance to do some good and make a difference.
Can anyone else use your National Trust card?
Membership may not be transferred to another person and Members are not permitted to allow another person to use their Membership card. 2.3 ‘Ordinary or Adult Member’ categories allow only the named card holder to enter our properties.
Can I add my grandchildren to my National Trust membership?
Yes, you can. You can either join online with details of 10 children and then call us later to add the details of the other children, or join at one of our places or over the phone when we’ll take the details of all of the children.
Can I lend someone my National Trust card?

The card isn’t specific for an individual, so you can use it across your network of carers or even ask a friend or family member to join you each time you visit a National Trust place.
Can I use my National Trust Scotland card in England?
With a National Trust for Scotland membership you have unlimited access to all the places in our care. You can also use your membership to explore places in the care of the National Trust in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as other National Trust organisations around the world.
Is it cheaper to join National Trust in Scotland?
NTS (Scotland) membership is slightly cheaper than the standard UK version (£117 annually / £9.80 per month for family of 2 adults and up to 6 kids ). You can see their rates and join on the NTS site. There is a reciprocal agreement between most of the trusts so you can get free or reduced entry worldwide.

Junior membership may be suitable for grandparents, parents or other guardians who are over 60 and entitled to our senior concession rate, to buy for their grandchildren or children. Junior membership could also benefit life members who would like to bring children to our places.
