What is Mextra wound dressing?
Mextra® Superabsorbent wound dressing delivers high fluid absorption and retention 1 2 . You can rely on it to help treat highly exuding wounds such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and some pressure ulcers. The high fluid handling capacity avoids leakage and reduces the risk of maceration 1 .
What is Drawtex dressing used for?
Drawtex® helps meet the complex challenges of wound bed preparation. Drawtex® is versatile in its use. It is indicated for wounds with moderate to high levels of exudate, whether chronic wounds or more acute wounds such as burns and complex surgical wounds.
What type of dressing is Mesorb?
Mesorb® is a soft, highly absorbent dressing that can retain large amounts of wound exudate. The fluid-repellent backing prevents external contamination of the wound and protects clothes and bed linen from exudate strike-through. As the backing covers the sides of the dressing, it also prevents side leakage.
Can you cut Drawtex?
Drawtex can be cut to fit any size or shape wound. In addition, you can put as many layers of Drawtex as necessary on the wound to ensure it will handle high volumes of exudate.
What size does Mepilex come in?
Mepilex dressings may be used under compression bandages. Available in 6 sizes: 3″ x 3″ (#295200), 4″ x 4″ (#295300), 4″ x 8″ (#295800), 6″ x 6″ (#295400), 6.3″ x 7.9″ Sacrum (#282055), and 8.7″ x 9.8″ Sacrum (#282455).
What is foam dressing?
Foam dressings are nonlinting and absorbent. They vary in thickness and have a nonadherent layer, allowing nontraumatic removal. Some have an adhesive border and may have a film coating as an additional bacteria barrier. Foam dressings provide a moist environment and thermal insulation.
Can you cut Mesorb?
Mesorb should not be used on individuals with a known sensitivity to the dressing or one of its components. The dressing must not be cut, or shaped to fit around drains etc., as this will lead to the loss of cellulose pulp.
Does Mesorb stick to wounds?
Mesorb is intended for use on moderately to highly exuding wounds. You can use it as a primary dressing directly on the wound.
