What is a PVG valve?

What is a PVG valve?

The PVG 32 is a hydraulic load sensing valve designed to give maximum flexibility. From a simple load-sensing directional valve, to an advanced electrically controlled load-independent proportional valve, the Danfoss PVG 32 modular system makes it possible to build up a valve group to meet requirements precisely.

How does a proportional valve work?

A proportional valve provides a change in output pressure or flow in the same ratio as the change in the input, for example if the input doubles then the output will also double. Proportional valves can be interconnected with the output from one being used as the input to another.

What does Pvg stand for?

Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.

Are valves machinery?

Valve accessories as machinery components Valve accessories, such as positioners, limit switches, solenoid valves etc., are classified as machinery components in the declaration of conformity of final machinery issued by SAMSON.

How does a Danfoss Motorised valve work?

Danfoss actuators have a self-commissioning protocol where they find the end positions of the valve on which they are mounted automatically. The actuator remembers these positions itself and adapts its stroke to the valve.

Why do you need a Pvg?

It helps ensure people whose behaviour makes them unsuitable to work with children and protected adults cannot do ‘regulated work’ with these vulnerable groups.

How do I check my PVG?

Your PVG number is shown on your certificate under your name and date of birth details. It will be 16 digits long and start with the last two digits of the year you first applied….For Disclosure Scotland to make the changes you must give them:

  1. your PVG number.
  2. your full name.
  3. your date of birth.

Does the proportioning valve controls pressure to the front brakes?

The proportioning valve reduces the pressure to the rear brakes. Whichever type of brakes your vehicle has, the rear brakes require less pressure than the front brakes.
