ya, its actually the other way round to what it sounds-so 2/5ths engaged means that 2/5ths of the baby’s head is palpable above the pelvic brim… therefore 3/5ths is down in this pelvis. So 5/5ths would mean the baby’s head is not engaged at all and 0/5ths would mean its totally engaged.
Was You 2/5 engaged at 38+4 weeks?
I was 2/5 engaged at my 38+4 week mw appt which was a weds, so I though baby was a way off but he came at 39+2, so on the monday, not too long a wait at all! What does it mean to have most of the head engaged?
Apparently that means that there is only 2/5 of the babies head left to go down, so its all he can feel. Therefore most of the head is engaged. However you can be fully engaged and not a lot happen for a few weeks. You maybe walking a bit funny for a while yet!
