The game was shortly removed by Valve from their Steam Greenlight service due to its extremely violent content but was later brought back with a personal apology from Gabe Newell. It was greenlit for a second time on December 29, 2014 and released on June 1, 2015.

Is Hatred worth buying?
The game is pretty solid but most of the things holding it back are bugs and some issues with ai. Aside from that it’s a pretty fun game but again I may be a bit biased. There’s also issues with physics / vehicles but those are more minor. In my opinion this game has some of the most authentic looking maps ever made.
