Most military passenger terminals with active Space-A programs at bases worldwide have a web page on which they post flight schedules and other travel information. Air Mobility Command (AMC) passenger terminals each have their own page on the AMC website.

What planes fly out of Miramar?
MCAS Miramar now serves as home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, including MAG-11’s fixed-wing F/A-18, F-35B and F-35C and KC-130 Hercules squadrons and MAG-16’s, MV-22 Osprey tiltrotors and CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters. The support command Marine Air Control Group 38 and the 3rd MAW Band are also located here.
Are civilians allowed on Miramar base?
Per MCAS Miramar regulations all non-affiliated civilians must undergo a background check in order for the Government to grant you clearance and authority to enter the base and attend your class. The background check will be conducted by the military.

Is Space-A travel still suspended?
As of April 22, all restrictions on space-available (Space-A) travel have been lifted. The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense temporarily suspended most Space-A travel aboard Air Mobility Command and contracted aircraft, effective March 21, 2020 in order to limit COVID-19’s spread and impact on the force.
Is TOPGUN school still in Miramar?
Yes, TOPGUN was once in California, but not anymore. The school was founded at Naval Air Station Miramar in San Diego and remained there for several years after the movie “Top Gun” came out.
