Do you have to wear a mask at the Bronx Zoo?
Visitors age 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone (age 18+). MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR VISIT. Guests and staff may continue to wear masks for a variety of reasons, so please be kind and considerate of others.
Can you see the whole Bronx Zoo in one day?
To visit the entire zoo it takes a good half a day, that is 4-5 hours.

How can I get into the New York Aquarium for free?
Is there a day/time when admission is free? Admission is free after 3:00pm on Wednesdays at the Aquarium. ADVANCE TIMED TICKETS ARE REQUIRED. The Wednesday Afternoon Ticket Store will open on Monday at 3:00pm for that Wednesday’s reservations.
Is Bronx Zoo safe?
The area around the zoo is as safe as most places in NYC. Within a couple of blocks is Fordham University, the Bronx Botanical Garden, and Arthur Ave (Our Little Italy). If you have concerns about walking, grab an Uber/Lyft to move between places in the area.
Can you still ride camels at Bronx Zoo?

Can I ride a camel at the Bronx Zoo?
Visitors to WCS’s Bronx Zoo can ride one of the adult camels at Asia Plaza. The calf is now on exhibit at Wild Asia. The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, 5:30 p.m. weekends.
