How do I bypass IW4x ban?

- head to your Modern Warfare 2 directory (the one with IW4x in it)
- Enter your players folder.
- Delete the guid.dat file (don’t worry this will be recreated when you relaunch the game)
- Simply relaunch the game. Join any server and you should be good to go.
Do you need MW2 for IW4x?
A: IW4x is entirely seperate from Steam MW2 services, so it is not possible to play with people playing on the Steam version of MW2. You can, however, invite your steam MW2 friends to install IW4x, and then you’ll be able to play together.

They are definitely down. You can only play private servers with your friends, and friends of your friends. The only way you can get to a lobby is if you land in somebody’s modded lobby.
