What happened to Nene Park stadium?
Two stands have now been demolished at Rushden and Diamonds’ former Nene Park home. The stadium, which was also briefly home to Kettering Town, has been empty since 2012. Two stands at the Irthlingborough stadium, which had a capacity of 6,400 and was opened by Sir Bobby Robson, have now been razed to the ground.

Why is it called Ferry Meadows?
It was built from local Barnack limestone by the Fitzwilliam family to replace a ferry service which operated on the River Nene and helps tell the story of how Ferry Meadows got its name. The bridge is marked on maps of the Park and a visit can be combined with a walk through the lovely Bluebell Wood.
