Does the Rainmate humidify the air?
The Rainbow Rainmate is a combination humidifier, air freshener and deodorizer that is manufactured and sold by the Rexair Company. Using it without a Rainbow vacuum cleaner, this self-contained device is able to do what the power source intended.
Can you put regular essential oils in Rainmate?
Yes! Essential oils and fragrances can be used in your Rainmate and it’s encouraged! This air purifier is great for aromatherapy. Simply add 3-5 drops of your preferred fragrance into the basin and enjoy!
Can I put vinegar in my Rainmate?
To get rid of mineral build-ups inside your Rainmate’s basin, just scrub at them with a dish brush and vinegar. Be sure to unplug and empty the basin before doing this!

If you’re noticing that within two weeks the water is getting very dirty then consider cleaning it every 10 days. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Rainbow RainMate is not dishwasher safe and you should not be using hot water to clean it!
